Felted Characters

These guys were buried a little too far down on the page with the other toys I've made so I made a decision to post them by themselves here.

**I'm going to be making more soon after I finish up Madeline's neck (my marionette) and do more of her clothing and skis for the winter. And her settee.

**And the leg warmers are finally decided on a stitch...knit ribbing but crocheted otherwise. Lots of stuff going on and I've picked up more alterations customers and a previous second job doing some office work so things get done...as they do.

**One of my placements of Virgo (Sun) is also in Uranus so be that as it may....I'm easily and HAPPILY scattered!!! and Aries Moon gets 'er DONE. Enjoy.

Hello, my loves. I'm just realizing my guys aren't on a page of their own so I'm building the page now. Yep, it'll look funky for a bit but a partial day off hopefully will allow me to get it started?/done?.

Colby - my yuppy caveman with his snail buddy, PLUS. Plus says he's a self-made man.

They crossed paths one day and just sort of accepted each other as equals. Hanging out is kinda cool with someone as long as they 'get you.'

Colby and Plus

Colby was my first attempt at felting. Geez. This was back in 2017ish. I love detail. He's adorable but more 'general' than my preferences. Hands, for instance, feet. But. What's nice about felting is that changes are actually easily made. I'm working on so many things. This guy, being a character is what would be termed these days as an "OC," (original character) and a ONE OFF, like most other things I do they aren't done again. I also love a 'counter part' and 'side kicks.'

Wow. He wasn't even finished in this picture. (The bones he carries aren't there yet).

Close ups of Plus' nose, especially... I just love eyeballs and big noses so why should he miss out on such an opportunity?

Colby's Girlfriend

Everybody I make have definite personalities and more to them just a character as you see. I made these with no instruction and they just came to be. I will be adding to each of them in structure and a surrounding scene as ***I*** see them living. Their feet will be adjusted and posed and more defined. I adore Claymation and 'stop-action' photography so there's really always more to the story...

Lilith has already found herself. She enjoys "architexture" and especially the concepts of 'Frank' (Frank Lloyd Wright) but she prefers things to stay more simplistic. We're exploring the idea of Cobb Homes most recently. Updates/illustrations will be posted soon.
