I use silk ribbon for these very special projects. Satin is also one of my common materials. I stay very close to the original materials and means used at the beginning of the history of making flowers.
Jane's Fashions

Jane asked me to make her a
bird cage veil with a large magnolia.
She's actually a very humble,
quiet and stays behind the scenes
doing work with charities.
But...
she decided to be very out of
character and wear something
no one would expect of her.
This piece (the bird cage veil)
was for a special occasion.
Jane was being recognized for her
community service work....so, in
receiving such an honorary
award she wanted to look
extra special.

I was very much honored to be
a part of her special day.

This is the little flower I made for her, "free gift."

MY intentions are to be
making these
(Bird Cage Veil/accessories)
to be worn
for CASUAL fashions.

Why the heck not?
Be pretty all the time.

Feel free to call me, reach out however, like Jane did,
and say, hey...I WANT (X).
I'll make it. You will have it.
How cool is that?

Jane's Hat
Truthfully, I really don't think there was a particular reason she wanted this hat (occasion wise). But the TYPE
of hat was absolutely imperative.

And...it wasn't easy to find. Obviously I found one but it had this ugly fake grapes on it and I wasn't sure if it was going to be in a decent condition.
Well, here it is. I'm happy with it.

Why all the pictures? She wanted
JUST white and beige flowers
all the way around the hat so you
are seeing front, back and side views.
I don't care for too much of a monochrome coloring but to some degree it's okay. My opinion. But we
agreed that the light gray is acceptable for the leaves.

Jane's Headband
This headband was requested for
a splendid little occasion that she regularly attends, A TEA PARTY at a mansion. I believe she lives in Rhode Island so I'm sure that's spectacular.

Again, she prefers the simple magnolia type flower.
